Booth is one of the biggest showpieces of Spring Carnival and one of Carnegie Mellon’s oldest traditions. Student organizations build highly detailed, 18’x18’ multi-story funhouse structures around a common theme. These booths include interactive games and elaborate decorations built to city code. Booths typically feature electricity, and in some cases, even running water and are built over a 6 day period after an extensive 5 month design process.

In 2015 I was the lead designer for “Journey to the Center of the Earth, my organization’s contribution to the “Living Library” midway theme. Throughout the process I lead the creative efforts of designing the booth experience, created all construction drawings (over 50 individual sheets), and lead the crafting and decorating team on midway.
